Unlike the Thistledown, thicker, heavier lines require separate line weights and the fi rst of these bigger lines to use
the new NCT with mono core technology is the Competition 'Long Cast’. Available only in line weights #7 and #8,
this line boasts a 20 yard (60ft) head with a 90ft running line, making each line 50 yards in total length, allowing
for the extreme casting capabilities. Whilst designed as a distance casting line, and needing a good back drop to
double haul, this line can produce insane casting distance in the right hands and a perfectly balanced rod outfi t.
In distinctive ivory head and bright red running line, one's casting skills and achievements will be the envy of
