Waste line poses a hazard to wildlife as well as just looking ugly.

I have personally used this device for many years now and would not be without it.  The same unit is still going strong after gulping down more than its fair share of waste tippet. So much easier than trying to stuff it in your wading jacket pocket.

When emptying the spool, remove the barrel and cut along with scissors.  This cuts the waste line in short strips which are safe to throw in the bin.
